View the film clip from Molly and Mobarak (2003) about how Hazara refugees are trying to be accepted and belong in the town of Young, and respond as a class to these questions:
How would it feel to be a migrant in a new land; possibly isolated by language, culture and prejudice?
One of the Young residents at the local pub says ‘We don’t want them here.’ Is his attitude typical of Australians towards migrants?
Is his attitude and that of others in the town sparked by prejudice or ignorance?
Write an essay based on Mrs Tilcher's Class. How does the poem relate to the concept of transition and change"? Explain with reference to the poem. You can read the analysis to help you with your essay. (Notice typo in the title of the word doc!!!!)
Read the above document and summarise what Post modernism means giving examples.
What are the techniques referred to in the film that support this genre of film.
List the examples given and explain how these techniques are used.
You can make a document online but it must be emailed or printed and produced by the end of the lesson.
